Located on a large lakeside plot with its own jetty and well maintained gardens. Ground floor: One double with French doors to decking area. Large shower room/W.C.. Separate dining area with French doors leading to lounge and fully fitted kitchen. Spacious living area with log fire, wall mounted flatscreen TV with soundbar/DVD. All rooms have lake views. Fishing is permitted with the relevant license and there is carp of various sizes in the lakes. This is not advertised as it is not a fishery, but guests are able to fish from their lodge if there is decking on the lake or on common areas around the lake. All fish must be returned and there is no charge.
Group Bookings/Party Types:
Infants must be included in the party total. The site does not allow group bookings, stag or hen parties.
Security Deposit
Please note a cheque or an online bank transfer for a security deposit of £100 is required to be sent to the owner prior to arrival. The owner of this lodge will contact you to supply details for this.
Facilities
Pamper Packs consist of Champagne, fresh flowers, chocolates and use of bathrobes.

Excellent facilities, easily the best of all the lodges in the area (we’ve stayed at them all..!). Very nice to see a lodge supply the basics to get you started (hand soap, toilet rolls etc), as not all do this, and after a long drive they’re much appreciated!

The Lakeside Retreat is fantastic, beautifully presented and very well equipped.The location is calm, quiet and relaxing.The owners were lovely and provided lots of helpful information, not only for the lodge but for the surrounding areas (places to eat / visit).We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning.
