Llangefni, 3 miles, offers shops, pubs, cafes and art galleries, and has a twice weekly market with an arts and crafts fair once a month. A great area for cycling and walking with a public footpath running through the owner’s grounds and close to the Cefni Reservoir and plantation forest. Beach 7 miles. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

Allun was a lovely host really friendly and the house is well connected in the middle of the island with good transport links. We had a great time, good beaches interesting archaeology and we saw red squirrels nearby. The house is small but perfect for a couple of young family, our toddler loved the garden. Older children may find the second room cramped which also comes off the main bedroom. Decent kitchen and the house was clean and the pictures are a true reflection. Really good value would recommend.

I was on Anglesey for a weeks photography, the house on a working farm is in an ideal position to give easy access to all parts of Anglesey and north Wales. The farmer was both helpful and friendly, he was kind enough to let me walk the fields to photograph any birds I spotted . It is a short drive to a pub that serves meals and five minutes into the local town, there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants there. The farmer was an excellent help in finding areas I was interested in .
