Cottage was clean and had good facilities. Bad points unable to connect to WiFi. Flat battery's in lounge television remote making it very difficult to turn on having to use chair to access the buttons on top. Fuse missing from radiator in shower room making it impossible to dry clothes/towels. Made several attempts to contact number provided and was completely ignored. Was also interrupted by a local resident who needed access to the kitchen to turn his electric back on which was a little unsettling for our children. All of these issues could easily have been addressed making our stay better had we been able to contact anybody for some assistance.

You cannot take a shower for more than 3 minutes as it overflows the shower tray, which also takes and age to drain after you have showered. The bathroom floor is uneven to the point that water pools in places. The kitchen doors are all wonky and the cooking pans/ utensils are all miss matched and well used which makes it a nightmare if you were to stay in and cook all of the time. The master bed had to be put back together before we were able to sleep on it as 3 of the slats were out under the mattress which was also tired and not exactly comfortable. The hot tub had sand in it when we arrived which would suggest that it was not cleaned after the last guests were in and the chemicals were not topped up or checked in the week that we were there. On the plus side everything else seemed clean and the children slept well in their beds and loved seeing the chickens roaming around outside. Just a shame this property seems to be just being used to get money from people with the minimum effort nowadays, the trip advisor reviews of old with the welcome packs of biscuits and other goodies are long gone.

having a sheep and 6 hens/chickens was great to see next to us. Barry and his family were very friendly and helpful. Great hosts.
