Head to the Old Copper Mine at Parys Mountain, a great spot to incorporate into a walk around the countryside. Those keen anglers can find Anglesey’s largest lake, Llyn Alan, where they can enjoy peaceful moments by the waters edge, with rambles able to roam and three miles of shoreline for a leisurely jaunt. If adventure takes you further afield, head into mainland Wales and enjoy the delights of North Wales, including Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Cowny, each offering their own character and charm, while the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is a haven for any outdoor enthusiast. On the Heritage Copper Trail, part of the beautiful 125-mile coastal path that winds its way along Anglesey's coast, learn about Amlwch's history and copper mining tradition, or visit the Old Mine Works at Mynydd Parys to see the red, yellow, and purple rocks that some say resemble the Moon's surface. Fishing and golf enthusiasts will find both at Amlwch, with the Bull Bay Golf Club nearby and sea fishing a popular sport. The property was excellent and we would definitely stay again if we visited Anglesey. As the island is relatively small the location is ideal to access all areas. The outside patio had a great view and it was very peaceful so perfect for a relaxing break.

! The location is enviable with panoramic views from the patio and on a clear night great opportunities for star gazing. The cottage has a rural appearance but inside it’s a well equipped modern home from home with everything we needed for a really enjoyable weeks stay. Anglesey is a lovely island with lots to see - we managed to take in two or three places each day. If we ever go back to Anglesey we’ll definitely book Tyddyn Haidd again.

Obviously very proud of the cottage and rightly so.
