About this property

This welcoming mid-terrace cottage is located in the old mining village of Penysarn, on the picturesque north east coast of Anglesey, just 2 miles from the coastal town and heritage port of Amlwch. Deceptively spacious, this lovely cottage provides a great base for exploring this beautiful area of North Wales and offers stylish and comfortable accommodation suitable for a couple, a family or even a couple of friends. Miners Bach is a well-appointed and welcoming cottage which has undergone a successful scheme of refurbishment by the current owners; a subtle coastal theme blends well with some of the more traditional features and the cottage is well-presented throughout. The sitting room has comfy leather seating for everyone and a good quality laminate floor whilst the newly fitted kitchen is modern and practical with a dining area and provides all your requirements for a family holiday. Upstairs, a spacious double bedroom with TV, and a bunk room, which are both serviced by the family bathroom. Outside, to the rear is an enclosed garden which consists of a lovely patio area with furniture and a lawned area which is great for the kids to have a bit of a play about, after a day out and about, return to this delightful cottage and sit and relax in the garden, enjoy a glass of something chilled or alfresco dining in the evening. The walks and cycle rides are in abundance and will take you through beautiful countryside and the Anglesey Coastal Path is a short walk away, opening up miles of cliff-top walks and secret coves and beaches, such as the sheltered cove at Traeth Dynion just 20 minutes’ walk away, and on towards Bull Bay with its friendly pubs and restaurant. The harbour at nearby Amlwch is a lovely place to visit, stroll down to the harbour and watch the fishing boats and day cruisers come and go, or perhaps enjoy a visit to the local copper mines with their surreal lunar landscape. Miners Bach is well placed for visiting the attractions of Anglesey, including Beaumaris with its moated Castle or the NT Plas Newydd House and Gardens is well worth a visit. Head back to the mainland and spend a day in the mountains of Snowdonia, or hop onto a ferry at Holyhead for a day trip to Dublin. All in all, a lovely cosy cottage providing a great base from which to explore, whatever you decide to do.

Penysarn is an old mining village on the north east coast of Anglesey, which used to have its own recognised currency minted from copper from the nearby mines. It forms the starting point of many circular tourist walks, including industrial heritage walks such as Llwybr Cadi Rondol, which takes walkers through the old copper mines at Mynydd Parys. The Anglesey coastal path runs past the village and there are the usual amenities associated with a village.
