In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the northern tip of Anglesey, Llanfechell is a tiny community that is 1.5 miles from Cemaes Bay. The nearby 12th-century Mechell Church, which has been expanded over the years and is said to be the location of St. Mechell's burial, is where the village derives its name. The area is well-liked by geologists and archaeologists because of the rock formations at Mechell Mountain and the numerous ancient monuments dispersed about, some of which are said to be among the oldest in the world. The ancient Parys Mountain copper mines, with their lunar-like scenery, are seven miles away.

It was an absolutely beautiful property with everything as described. The staff that we met were super helpful and very professional. We did want to come back next year, but sadly see that it's not for rent from April next year.

The apartment looks as pictured and is complete with quality fittings and furnishings in a peaceful setting. There was plenty of space for family living including space in the bedroom for a travel cot. The apartment was really clean and the grounds of the apartment are well looked after. The addition of the boot room/utility room was an added bonus for us. There was some movement noise from the apartment upstairs but nothing more than what you expect from staying in a ground floor space. Great base for exploring the island however the approximate location of the listing on Sykes wasnât as accurate as Iâd expected so travel to attractions took longer than planned. Iâve already shared the listing to family and friends as a wonderful place to stay and hope to return in the future.
