Within proximity to local amenities, and a short car journey from the beach, whilst boasting original beamed ceilings, homely interiors, flexible sleeping arrangements, and a lovely multi-level garden, the property welcomes six guests, perfect for families and friends looking for a countryside escape. Prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, with the help of an induction hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, and coffee machine to fulfil your self-catering needs, before gathering around the dining table. On sunny days, venture outside to dine alfresco, selecting from several patio areas. Come night, light the fire pit, the patio eating area has both up and down lights to extend your outdoor evening experience, with a regular red squirrel visitor in the garden and local owl. Head inside to toast your getaway in front of the Smart TV and electric fire, situated within the sitting room. Prepare for bed in the sleek ground-floor bathroom, before selecting between three ground-floor bedrooms, including a king-size with en-suite and two doubles, and a single resting upstairs; you'll also find a snug, ideal for some peace and quiet. Come morning, head into Amlwch to grab the essentials, before venturing towards Traeth Lligwy, Mynydd Parys, and Copper Kingdom Centre, a prime attraction in the local area. Travelling into the county, enjoy strolls around Nant Y Pandy nature reserve, opt for a nature-filled day out at Pili Palas Nature World, or appreciate the works of many local artists at Oriel Môn art gallery. Holyhead is reachable by car, where you can tour Holyhead Maritime Museum, discover Parc Gwledig Morglawdd Caergybi Breakwater Country Park, perfect for birdwatching and fishing, or perhaps join the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path for far-reaching vistas across the seaside. Experience all of this, and more, by booking Carreg Winllan.

On the northeastern tip of the island of Anglesey, in a lovely coastal setting, is the small beach community of Amlwch. The community, which formerly hosted prosperous mining operations, today hosts a variety of events and attractions, making it the perfect destination for a family vacation. Visit the Old Mine Works at Mynydd Parys to see the red, yellow, and purple rocks, which some people have compared to the Moon's surface, or learn about the history of Amlwch and its copper mining tradition on the Heritage Copper Trail, a section of the lovely 125-mile coastal path that winds its way along the coast of Anglesey. Golf enthusiasts can play at the Bull Bay Golf Club nearby, and sea fishing is a particularly well-liked past time in Amlwch. tion.

Very private and located in a beautiful area on Anglesey with picturesque beaches and scenery close by.

We also found the house to be musty/damp and we weren't able to stay for our holiday beyond the first night. Our concerns were addressed by both the owner and Sykes and we've been able to agree to that the standard wasn't acceptable and a refund was issued.

We loved that it felt like a home from home and had everything you could need for your stay. The wine, bread and essentials was a thoughtful touch too. It is a short walk to the village of Pen-Y-Sarn but secluded enough to feel like you're miles from anywhere. It's in the perfect spot for the lovely local beaches and an ideal base for friends or families to get together. A bonus was the washer/dryer so that we could refresh our beachwear etc. Jo, the owner is lovely and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again, we highly recommend Carreg Winllan to anyone and hope to be back soon. Diolch!
