Resting just one and a half miles from Cemaes Bay, on the northern tip of Anglesey in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is Llanfechell, a charming village which derives its name from the 12th century Mechell Church. The church has been extended over the years making it a prominent landmark and culture spot for the area, where it is believed St Mechell is buried. Nearby is the seaside village of Cemaes Bay which is home to a handful of good shops and pubs and a stunning natural sheltered harbour and golden sandy beach.
