Enter into a homely open-plan dining/sitting area, all with Disabled Class 1 facilities, floor-to-ceiling windows soaking in the light of the surroundings and offering you a taste of the scenery whilst you recline on one of the Harris Tweed blankets, natural wooden floors and décor add to the cottage feel of the area, where you can enjoy a family breakfast at the dining area.

When preparing heart-warming meals, you will find an amply fitted kitchen ready to go.

Settling down for the night, you will be met with a twin room containing two accessible beds with Harris Tweed blankets and storage for your belongings, or you could snuggle up in the king-size room with a view to the great outdoors, Harris Tweed furnishings and a large amount of storage.

If you wish to enjoy an outdoor evening, there is a large fire pit and decking area with furniture allowing you to watch the sun set over the beautiful landscape.

If it is local cuisine or craft you wish to sample, head to the nearby town of Uig where you can explore local crafts, art, produce and cafes, and why not stock up on essentials at the local store, giving you a flavour of local produce to add to your mealtimes, or visit one of the nearby museums to get a taste of the culture and history of the area. There is also a plentiful selection of historical and geological sites of interest throughout the island, including Calanais Standing Stones, Norse Mill and Kiln, Whalebone Arch and walks through Stiomrabhaigh and Dun Borranish. If you wish to explore the rugged coastline, there are a variety of boat trips to choose from, including Hebridean Adventures, or for a more land-based adventure, take a walk through Lewis Castle parks and gardens, enjoying the trees and splendid countryside. Just a short drive away, you will find the renowned beaches of Cliff, Valtos, Uig Bay and Reef, where you and your four-legged friend can stroll across the soft white sand and take in the salty air. There is an abundance of stunning wildlife across the Isle of Lewis, including curlews, greenshank, otters and red deer.

Timsgearraidh is a village situated in the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, resting between Doune and Stornoway. The village is known for its white sandy beaches and walks and offers a selection of attractions including Uig Museum. Dining options include Uig Community Tearoom however you will have to travel to Doune in order to find a pub, for example Doune Braes Hotel, while you can stock up on essentials at the nearby Uig community store. Within easy reach of the village is the popular town of Stornoway, where you can find further attractions and amenities such as Raon Goilf Golf Course, bars and restaurants.
