Very disappointed.Lodge was not the one expected,(from booking details / photos) and was up a very steep drive and pathway. The wooden steps very narrow. weak and slippery (both adults and one dog had falls on these which contributed to early departure after only 4 days).Inside the lodge, the small wall mounted heater was inadequate (on our arrival owner even 'joked' that previous guests had used the electric oven with it's door open to heat the place.)The lounge furniture was uncomfortable and the twin / single beds very narrow - not really suitable for an adult guest . (These could be replaced with 3 foot wide beds rather than 2ft6)) No internet meant checking places to visit (opening times etc) was impossible. The information pack in the lodge was 3 years out of date. A small welcome box - some teabags / coffee / sugar sachets etc would have been useful as village has NO shops (nearest about 7 miles).
