Guests consistently praise Am Bothan for its stunning views, cleanliness, and the warm hospitality of the hosts. The cabin's setting offers a tranquil and private retreat with a variety of outdoor activities nearby. The hot tub is frequently mentioned as a highlight, despite some comments on the effort required to heat it. The compact nature of the cabin is noted, but it adds to the charm and character of the stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers are unanimous in their appreciation of the cabin's cleanliness, with several explicitly noting it as spotless. This suggests a very high standard of cleanliness maintained by the hosts.

The location is highly praised for its amazing views and tranquillity, with the added benefit of being accessible and close to outdoor activities. The proximity to a great restaurant within walking distance is also appreciated.

The cabin is described as comfortable and cosy, with modern amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests mention the lack of wardrobe space and the compact nature of the bedrooms and bathroom, which slightly impacts the comfort rating.

Facilities such as the hot tub are frequently mentioned as fantastic, although the need to heat it with a log burner is noted. The high standard of the property's construction and the presence of modern conveniences contribute to a high score, despite some minor suggestions for improvement.

While the reviews reflect the hosts' thoughtfulness in terms of hospitality and providing a welcoming environment, there are no specific mentions of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to score this category based on the provided information.

Nestling within a secluded woodland setting, Am Bothan, Edinchip near Locheranhead in Stirling enjoys a magical location and offers the perfect escape for a family or a couple. Whilst outside the property you can be at one with nature, inside offers a warm and inviting space (helped by the underfloor heating throughout!) which is a tranquil sanctuary and gives its guests the opportunity to enjoy a truly transformative break. The property has been finished to a high specification and benefits from a wonderful open-plan living space with a snug corner sofa, TV, woodburning stove and feature sliding doors opening onto a decking area which offers mesmerising woodland views. The kitchen is compact and has everything you need to rustle up a pleasant meal whether it is a romantic dinner for two or hearty family fayre using some of the fantastic local produce on offer in the area. Those all-important views can be enjoyed whilst tucking into a meal at the dining table and this is the perfect spot to kick back with a glass of wine and make the most of spending quality time with family and loved ones. The kids will be delighted with the cool bunk beds whilst the superbly appointed double bedroom has doors opening onto the decking area with stunning views over the adjoining forest. Just imagine throwing open the doors in the morning and breathing in the fresh, forest air before preparing a tasty breakfast to enjoy out on the decking area. To top it all off at the end of a busy day of activities, why not fire up the wood-fired hot tub, have a soak and really relax while taking in those simply sublime views? It really doesn’t get much better than that. Despite its remote setting, Am Bothan is only a mile from the A84 and a number of long-distance walking and cycling routes giving guests the opportunity to really explore the wonders of Highland Perthshire and Stirlingshire. Nearby attractions include Five Munros and Lochs Earn and Lubnaig for watersports and picturesque Callander is a popular destination. For a trip to remember in a superb woodland setting, Am Bothan is definitely worth a visit.

The village of Lochearnhead is located at the western end of Loch Earn, a Highland Loch surrounded by mountains and 317ft above sea level. Lochearnhead is a popular area because of the loch and the wide range of watersports on offer, including water-skiing, canoeing, and sailing. At its centre there is a village shop, a post office, and a pub among other small businesses such as B&Bs and a hotel. The Lochearhead Highland Games are held here annually in summer, and they have been a classic part of Scottish culture for centuries. The larger city of Perth lies around 40 miles east, with Glasgow around 50 miles to the south.

We had a fantastic Christmas stay, great peaceful stay and Alisdair was a great host, left us well alone but was very helpful when needed. The hot tub was wonderful as long as you planned ahead and the stove kept us toasty in the worst of the weather. Yes the cabin is bijou but the most has been made of the space available. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again, the surrounding area has great walks and the scenery is breathtaking.

Private, cosy and tranquil with lots to do and see nearby. We would absolutely recommend this property and can't wait to return.

The cabin has all the mod cons you desire and is comfy in all aspects. You might want to double check the post code on the app and what 3 words as this did not match the one given to us by the owner who’s directions on the app were spot one. The setting is beautiful and the view from the hot tube was awesome
