Gather around the dining table for mealtimes, before venturing up the spiralling staircase, reaching two well-presented bedrooms, one large double and one twin room equipped with colourful bunkbeds. The family bathroom continues to nod towards the property’s historic roots, offering a traditional-style bathroom suite with a sleek twist. Each bedroom boasts a view of the idyllic woodland surroundings, reminding you of the beauty of the Scottish countryside. Relax and enjoy the sunshine in the garden area with the provided outdoor furniture, before exploring the surrounding area. Without even leaving the estate, there are plenty of walks to enjoy and the nearby river to fish in. A car journey away, you and your family can visit the renowned Blair Drummond Safari Park, home to over 350 animals, roaming free in the 120-acre estate. Venture into the Trossachs National Park & Loch Lomond to discover the Scottish wildlife and soak up the incredible panoramic views. Doune is a pretty village resting within the district of Stirling, Scotland. The village houses a medieval castle which was used as the Monty Python set. Today, it houses a 95ft high gatehouse and also boasts domestic quarters where you will find the Lord’s Hall with its carved oak screen and double fireplace. The village also houses a selection of shops, a restaurant and a café, as well as buildings of historical interest which includes the Kilmadock Parish Church and the Bridge of Teith. Within close reach is the city of Stirling, where you will find further amenities and attractions including the Royal castle, The National Wallace Monument and the golf club. Also within close reach is the Blair Drummond Safari Park which is the only safari park in the country. Doune is a wonderful base to explore this part of Scotland further.
