  • About the property

The Hunting Lodge is an elegant retreat for two located on a privately-owned estate in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Designed in a style that seamlessly blends a cosy feel with modern Farrow and Ball colour schemes and traditional detailing, there are beautiful reminders that you are in Scotland throughout, from the tartan print curtains to the feature antler light shade. It’s the ideal place for a romantic break, with lovely walks starting from your door.

    The space

The Hunting Lodge has been carefully thought out to feel spacious and homely. At the front of the cabin is a small porch area with a patio table and chairs – a delightful spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in good weather, or simply sit and enjoy the magnificent scent from the adjacent pine trees. Beyond the porch, the large glass sliding door leads straight into the cabin’s open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area.

The living area has a large sofa and an armchair, so you can really spread out, as well as a hand made designer foot stool, a flatscreen TV with SKY TV package and a Blu Ray DVD player for your entertainment needs. Meanwhile, chilly evenings spent cosying up in front of the wood burning stove is a great way to relax after a day exploring the countryside or nearby towns.

There’s a modern kitchen area with everything you need to self cater, or to chill your Champagne, including a double oven and a large fridge freezer, as well as a dishwasher to take care of the dirty plates.

The kitchen flows into a dining area with a table and chairs where you can plan your day or enjoy a meal. If your day involves getting wet or muddy, rest assured that they’ll be clean and dry ready for next time thanks to the washer/dryer that’s located in a small walk-in drying cupboard.

Off the living area is a bedroom with a king size bed with a handcrafted headboard and a 2000 spring mattress with Cashmere topper, and plenty of wardrobe space. Meanwhile, the large en-suite bathroom has a deep and double ended bath – perfect for a long soak, as well as a separate walk-in power shower and even bluetooth.

    Guest access

Guests are invited to check-in remotely before travelling and will receive full directions on how to reach the property.

    Sustainability

The privately-owned estate on which the cabin is located, attracts a lot of wildlife and strives to give certain species a helping hand, such as the area’s bats that benefit from the bat boxes. If you’d like to watch the local birdlife from the comfort of your cabin, tasty treats for feathered friends can be bought at the on-site visitor centre. Or, if you like the idea of making a long-lasting impression, you can pay to have a tree planted on the estate. The estate is keen on recycling too and you can play your part by saving your biodegradable food waste such as vegetable peelings and emptying them into the compost bins around the estate.

If you'd like to offset the carbon emissions from your trip get in touch and we can arrange this for a small fee.
