About this property

The Fisher property was designed specifically as a large single bedroom for 2 people.

Situated on the Portnellan Estate with views due West, this chalet includes a private patio with garden furniture. The Fisher has recently undergone the installation of a new fitted kitchen, carpets, a high pressure hot water system and complete redecoration.

The property comprises of a double bedroom with king-size double and an open plan living and dining area. The bathroom has a power shower over the bath. Special features include a flat-screen TV with Freeview with Sky channels, a DVD player and an iPod docking station.

The kitchen offers a fridge-freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a food processor and a Senseo coffee machine. Full crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are included.

BBQ facilities can be provided.

Clay pigeon shooting is also available. Free use of rowing boats and kayaks. Paddle board hire available. There is a games room with table tennis, pool table, table football and a wee gym. Lucy's Taylor Homemade meals are available on a take away menu.

WiFi for one device is included free of charge. Vouchers for extra devices can be purchased from reception.

Portnellan's holiday properties are located 2 mi from the village of Crianlarich within a privately owned family estate with the famous Ben More mountain towering above.  The location benefits from sensational views across the lochs, mountains and glen. 

The properties vary in size from 1 to 8 bedrooms and can sleep from 1 to 16 people.  The Portnellan Estate features a selection of traditionally built stone cottages and timber framed chalets.  Overlooking Loch Iubhair (pronounced Ewar), open plan living areas lead to large deckings which feature garden furniture and Weber gas BBQ (which are available upon request). 

On-site activities and facilities include hot tubs, wood-burning stoves, free WiFi, mountain bikes, canoes and kayaks.  Row boats are available for wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river.  There is a small visitor's center offering local organic meat and a selection of craft beer and wines.  There is an extensive DVD library, selection of board games and information on local events, activities and attractions.  There is also a games room offering table tennis and a pool table.

Neighborhood info

Having grown up at Portnellan I know of some great hidden gems in the area. Without giving too much away before you have visited there are a number of great adventures to be had at Portnellan. Towering above the estate is the famous mountain, Ben More. It is the highest of all the mountains in the Southern Highlands and is well over 1100 metres in height. Loch Dochart has an island which can be paddled out to on the estate kayaks and paddle boards where you will find a traditional castle ruin to explore. Loch Iubhair (pronounced 'ewar') boasts good fishing and is a great loch for open water swimming. Ben More burn that runs through the Portnellan Estate has some great waterfall pools that can be enjoyed both in and out of the water.i
