    Ben More Cabin is a cosy hideaway set in one of the quietest parts of a family-run, private estate in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. It’s a wonderful place to kick off your shoes, unwind and admire the unrestricted views of Ben More’s summit, or the local wildlife that includes red squirrels – often seen without much effort at all. Should you wish to venture outside, you can begin with a beautiful walk beside the flowing waters of Ben More burn which is just thirty metres away.

    The space

    Enter through the sliding glass patio doors at the front of the cabin and into the open plan lounge and dining area. There’s a comfortable L-shaped sofa to sink into and an armchair, as well as a TV with Freeview SKY channels (a SKY TV package is available to purchase) and Blu Ray DVD. Enjoy your meals indoors at the dining table, or make use of the patio area, equipped with table and chairs, at the front of the property.

    Walnut effect flooring gives the living area a sense of warmth and leads to the modern kitchen area which is equipped with everything you will need to whip up snacks and meals, even a sandwich toaster and a food processor. The Royal Doulton crockery adds an elegant touch to mealtimes, while the cool-toned Farrow and Ball paint colours throughout the cabin, adds an injection of freshness and light.

    The main bedroom has a king size bed, while the second bedroom has twin single beds, ideal for the kids. There is fitted wardrobe space to store your clothes, while each bed has a luxurious 2000 spring, pocket sprung mattress and Egyptian cotton linens. In the bathroom there is a bath with a power shower over and a heated towel rail.

    Guest access

    Guests are invited to check-in remotely prior to arrival and full directions will be supplied. The property will be found in the middle of the beautiful estate and there are a few steps up to the entrance of the cabin.

    Sustainability

    Heating in Ben More Cabin is in the form of low energy, mineral-filled electric heaters to help with the private estate’s efforts in striving to be as sustainable as possible. The private estate is a haven for wildlife and a number of bat boxes and bird feeders are placed around the grounds. In addition, guests are encouraged to collect vegetable peelings in the container provided in the kitchen and recycle them at one of the compost bins around the estate.

    Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.

    Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.

    Security deposit: A security deposit of £100 will be charged prior to check in and returned following your stay.

    Dog rules

    The owners are very happy to welcome well behaved dogs to stay in this property but for the benefit of all their guests they require all dog owners to adhere to the following ‘Dog Rules’:-

  • 1 or 2 small to medium sized dogs by prior arrangement only.

  • There is a dog fee of £30 per pet applied.

  • You hereby agree that as a dog owner you are responsible for the behaviour of your dog during your stay.

  • Worm and flea treatments must be up to date.

  • You agree to accept full responsibility for any damage and/or soiling caused by your dog during your stay and agree to pay the cost of any repairs or additional cleaning requirements.

  • If you have a group booking of more than one cottage, please ensure your dog(s) do not enter any chalet/cottage other than the one you are staying in. Otherwise we will levy an additional dog fee for the extra cleaning costs.

  • Please bring plenty of poo bags and clean up after your dog.

  • Dogs are not allowed on any furniture including beds and sofas.

  • Dogs must not be left alone in the holiday chalets/cottages unless they are in a crate and you are absolutely sure they will not bark continuously.

  • Unfortunately dogs that bark continuously are not allowed as they will disturb other guests. If any dog persistently causes a nuisance or distress we reserve the right ask the owners to leave.

  • Please bring plenty of your own dog towels for drying.

  • Please be considerate of anyone who may not be familiar or comfortable with dogs.

  • There will be other guests and maybe other dogs staying so please keep your dog(s) on a lead when taking your dog to your car, or setting out on a walk direct from the door.
  • Please ensure you are familiar with and follow the Countryside Code when out for a walk:

  • Maintain effective control of your dog and consider other people.

  • Protect the natural environment and wildlife.

  • Leave gates and property as you find them.

  • Bag it and bin it – it is an offence to fail to remove dog faeces.

  • It is an offence for a dog to worry livestock on agricultural land and farmers are entitled to destroy a dog without compensation to the owner.
