Many of the top visitor attractions are nearby. Alternatively, take a cruise on the steam ship Sir Walter Scott on Loch Katrine which has been sailing on the loch for more than a century. The stunning surrounding scenery inspired Sir Walter Scott to write the poem ’Lady of the Lake’.
For days out there are whisky distilleries, historic buildings and castles. The city of Stirling is only 20 minutes’ drive, or a little further afield are Edinburgh and Glasgow in just over an hour.
