No smoking or vaping.. Formerly two traditional miners’ cottages, these have been converted into one substantial four-bedroom cottage. Ideal for a large family holiday or group of friends looking for a central base yet in a quiet rural village.

Fraser Terrace boasts a cosy living room with a wood burner and a Smart TV, perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the nearby attractions. The dining room is tastefully furnished and provides ample space for the whole group to enjoy meals together. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal, and there is a breakfast area where you can enjoy your morning coffee.

The property features four bedrooms, two of which are located on the ground floor and offer twin beds. There is one bathroom and one shower room, ensuring that everyone can get ready in the morning without any hassle. Upstairs, you will find two spacious bedrooms, both with king-size beds and lovely views of the surrounding area. Outside the rear garden is enclosed and perfect for summer barbecues or the kids and dogs playing outside.

When there is snow on the ground there are some great places to ski and sledge all around. There is a local pub that serves food in the village. Guests might be surprised to know that the property is only 7.5 miles from J13 and J14 off the M74 motorway which accesses Glasgow and Edinburgh both within an hour.

The Wanlockhead Museum of Lead Mining is well worth a visit and offers a trip down a real lead mine. There are many spots to try your hand at gold panning and lessons are available at the Museum. Wanlockhead is located on the Southern Upland Way with some fabulous walks all around. A drive down the Mennock Pass will take your breath away as you wind your way down towards the A76 which leads you south to Dumfries and beyond or north to Sanquhar and Ayr.

This property is the ideal base to use to enjoy the sites and attractions that central and southwest Scotland have to offer or just kick back and relax and enjoy the tranquillity of rural life in the hills.
