The cottage's rural setting with lovely views and proximity to local walks and towns like Peebles and Biggar is highly valued by guests, contributing to a positive experience.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with a warm atmosphere and a good-sized bedroom. However, some guests mentioned the bed being very firm, which slightly affects the comfort score.
The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable, but some guests expressed concerns about the small kitchen, limited storage, and issues with heating control, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

Brilliant cottage in a beautiful location. Ideal for two people and a dog. Having the access out to the enclosed area makes it excellent both for humans and dogs. The cottage is comfortable and warm which makes it perfect to come back to after a day on the hills.

The bedroom was a good size and comfortable. The lounge was a decent size and nicely furnished with a large basket of logs for the log burning stove, which we didn’t use as the cottage was warm enough. However, the kitchen is small with little storage space resulting in a minimum of crockery and equipment. The only storage for food was the under bench refrigerator and my food had to be left on the small piece of bench between the cooker and sink. The kettle stood on the draining board to the right of the sink and the toaster was on the windowsill. A door in the kitchen opened into the large bathroom with the toilet, washbasin and bath with shower. The cottage is in a lovely rural location with walks from the door yet Peebles and Biggar are only ten miles away.

Nettlebush Cottage is very comfortable and well appointed. It is ideal for a couple taking a short break or week's holiday. the location is beautiful with great views towards Trahenna Hill and Broughton is 2 minutes away by car and Peebles 15 minutes. If you appreciate autumn colours, it's ideal. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and the welcome pack was excellent (although I ate all the Tablet).
