Avid walkers can spend their days following the many footpaths and trails in the area, with a popular walk up Tinto Hill which gives commanding views of the Clyde Valley, while there is also the Broughton cycle route along on a disused railway and old drove road. For days out, Edinburgh and Glasgow are less than an hour’s drive away and offers plenty to keep you busy.
