I've stayed in a few Cottages.com cottages and by far this was one of the most peacful places, nothing but birdsong, cows and sheep, perfect for the solitude type, like myself, big enough for a small family but not too big for one person and a dog. There is plenty of walking about the area just short drives along some beautiful roads to stunning places with views to salve any soul and the walks are just the best thing for a restful night, I only spent a week here and I truly wish I could stay forever. The owners are really nice people and may just drop by to make sure you and everything is okay as they live close by, I cannot stress how much I would recommend this to you, especially if the sun is shining as the summerhouse the have really sets this place apart and you will spend most evenings there as peace is it's default setting.

Good place if you want a quiet place to relax with hardly any noise. Local shop 4 miles away and nearest big store 7 miles away so a car is a must but all in all very relaxing.
