Shepherds Retreat is a cosy and contemporary romantic refuge from life’s hustle and bustle. Enjoying an elevated position on a hillside within a working farm, get ready for breath-taking views over your pretty rural surroundings from the luxury of your bedroom and private hot tub. So romantic, you might never want to leave, but equally idyllic days out can be spent walking in the Ayrshire countryside, dining at fine restaurants and strolling around ancient castles.
The space
Clad in wood, Shepherds Retreat is a modern cabin designed to blend into its natural setting and to almost allow you to disappear – perfect for a romantic retreat. It’s totally self-contained, so you can be sure there won’t be any interruptions and the bright, open-plan interior conveys a contemporary studio style.
Shepherds Retreat comprises one open-plan, multi-use area for living, sleeping, cooking and dining. Within it is a modern king-size, four-poster bed, a small sofa, a dining table and chairs, and a Smart TV and DVD player. There's also a small, but well-equipped kitchenette with a two ring induction hob where you can whip up easy meals. Just off the bedroom area is an en-suite bathroom with a large monsoon shower.
Huge glass doors allow for far-reaching views outside and open onto a large decked area where you’ll find the private hot tub, which is a great place to sip champagne or gaze at the stars which are wonderful here on a clear night.
Guest access
Shepherds Retreat is accessed via the farm’s private drive and the approach to the property is steep, so do take extra care. On arrival there is an allocated parking area with space for two cars and you will be greeted and shown the features of the property, including how to operate the hot tub.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you're legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
