About this property

Aikwood Tower is a 500-year-old, grade A listed property, restored and renovated in sumptuous contemporary style. Steeped in history and set in a stunning landscape, this unique property will create a warm and welcoming holiday to remember.

Once the home of the infamous Border Reivers as they protected “The debatable lands” between Scotland and England, Aikwood Tower has seen plenty of history and adventure through the centuries. Now it’s yours to enjoy. Step through the west door in the sheer, rugged walls and you’ll be amazed by the contrasting interior, with five-star interiors and contemporary boutique accommodation. The roaring great hall fire is the centre point, while each of the five bedrooms is filled with luxuries, including sumptuous Duxiana beds and their own individual en-suites.

The local landscape offers some of the finest walking, cycling, shooting, fishing and horse riding in Scotland. At the heart of the Scottish Borders, the tower is surrounded by rolling hills, woodland trails and the Ettrick and Yarrow Valleys. Once you’ve explored, you’ll be able to relax in the comfort of the great hall and even take advantage of the services of a private chef available for guests. If you enjoy the great outdoors, you’ll be enchanted by a stay at this most magical of holiday properties.

Good service from RR. It was what we were expecting. Good welcome hamper! The owner communication was excellent including a thank you for leaving it tidy and for writing in the books. We all enjoyed the holiday and we were lucky with the weather.
