Dryburgh Steading Three is a delightful, pink sandstone farm steading, beautifully renovated to offer the very highest standards of holiday accommodation for up to six guests.
Very few properties enable you to sit out on your own private patio and gaze out on a historic monument like The Temple of the Muses. A stay at Dryburgh Steading Three puts you at the heart of the tranquil glory of the Scottish Borders, with some beautiful scenery and architecture, literally on your doorstep. A five-minute walk away is the inspiring ruin of Dryburgh Abbey, while even closer is the River Tweed, which you can cross via a pedestrian suspension bridge.
The interior of the property gives you plenty of space for your ideal holiday, with a generous living area downstairs and three large bedrooms upstairs. Each bedroom has its own television and complimentary sherry for guests to enjoy nightcaps. The comfortable and stylishly furnished sitting room has french doors that open straight out onto the patio, with far-reaching views of the countryside beyond. A separate open-plan area with a kitchen and dining table as well as separate, comfortable seating creates flexible accommodation so you can truly unwind and enjoy your own space.

The setting by the River Tweed with sun dappled woodland is enchanting. One could say magical. Nearby is the town of St Boswells, which has a charming village green and a bustling bookshop. One can walk there along the river. Abbeys and historic houses and gardens abound. The house was clean, well equipped and spacious. The grounds are well maintained. The housekeeper was very pleasant. The decor is rather disappointing, far, far from a country house interior, alas, with fake candles and uncomfortable furniture. The dining table shown in the photographs for the sitting room was not in the house when we arrived. The lighting could be brighter. We shall be returning to the Scottish Borders next summer, as the region is glorious.
