South Riccalton Farm Cottage is highly praised for its peaceful, remote setting with stunning views, offering a perfect balance of relaxation and exploration opportunities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped, comfortable cottage, especially the hot tub and cosy log burner. The thoughtful touches, such as welcome gifts, add to the charm of this rural retreat.
The property is consistently described as immaculate and clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating a high standard maintained by the hosts.
The location is celebrated for its superb views and tranquillity, though the remote access via a rough farm track may not suit everyone. Its proximity to Jedburgh and natural attractions adds to its appeal.
Guests find the cottage to be very comfortable, with special mentions of a super comfy bed and a cosy atmosphere enhanced by a log burner.
The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, hot tub, and log burner, are highly regarded. The mention of Netflix and internet being patchy prevents a perfect score.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of welcome packs including biscuits, coffee pods, and prosecco. While these gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.
There are too many fab points to mention, however the thought of soaking in the hot tub, viewing the farm animals in the field and the horses passing by simply sounds like pure bliss!. 3 steps to entrance.

A very relaxing holiday in a superb location.

What a wonderful little gem! Yes, the cottage is remote - we prefer it that way! Yes, the 1 mile drive on the rough farm-track to it is interesting (as is the 4 mile single track road to get to the track!) - It adds to the whole experience! The views from the cottage are superb - pity we were in the fabulous hot tub mainly when it was dark. The area has so many opportunities for walking and sightseeing, my favourite walk was from St Boswells along the River Tweed, at this time of year the autumn colours were stunning. Jedburgh Jail and Mary Queen of Scots House in Jedburgh are well worth a visit. Everything we needed in a cottage was provided. Thank you
