Beautiful cottage in a lovely remote and peaceful setting that was very well equipped with everything you could need. Only 30 minutes or so from Kelso for supermarket etc. We really enjoyed our stay and the hot tub was just amazing with some stunning sunsets. Natalie is a perfect host and we definitely hope to return as soon as possible.

This charming little farm cottage is set in the beautiful hills of the Scottish Boarders miles from anywhere. It is peaceful and remote with wonderful scenery and perfect for anyone wanting relaxation peace and tranquility and/or some exploration of the surrounding areas. The cottage is comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It boasts a beautiful log burner and a hot tub for that added bit of luxury and the provision of bath robes and slippers is a lovely thoughtful touch. The hot tub after dark in amazing, totally relaxing and uninterrupted by anything at all.We like a nice large bath sheet so found the towels to be a little on the small side and there were no pyrex style bowls for use in the microwave but other than that, everything is covered for your stay and the welcome gift bottle of bubbly was very much appreciated. The owners are lovely, providing everything you need to know before your arrival, around if you need anything but totally respectful of your privacy if you don't.There are some lovely little market towns not too far away which are lovely for exploring and offer lots to see and do on a nice day. Highly recommend Jeburgh, Kelso and Melrose but not Hawick, where there, we found sadly many of the local shops were closed down and too many replaced with vape shops, although it does offer a lovely park for a nice walk.Don't be put off by the 4 mile single track road and the track leading up to the farm, both are easy to drive and in the unlikely event that you should meet another vehicle, there are plenty of places to pass. Beware of loose sheep wandering on the road, they will soon move as your car approaches. We would definitely recommend Riccalton Farm Cottage for the perfect getaway if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
