We can’t really comment on the last but one question as we stay in the Lodge but our friends who live locally take us everywhere, so they know how to find all the amenities, although it seems pretty central for lots of places around there

Holiday with my husband and daughter. Very well equipped cottage, Denholm village had shop 10 minute walk from cottage for essentials like milk and bread. Tea room open Wednesday to Saturday. This was also start of Common Riding and we saw many ceremonies during week in Hawick. Good area for visiting Floors Castle, Abbotsford and further afield to Alnwick.Bottle of wine and Selkirk Bannock was left for our arrival, very appreciated. We really enjoyed our stay.
