This barn is beautifully furnished and well equipped. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. The property is well placed to visit coast and country with breathtaking scenery.

This cottage is the perfect place for a week’s holiday and a fantastic base for exploring North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.It is set in a peaceful, rural location, with the nearest amenities 10 to 15 minutes away in Duns, where there is a decent Co-op for provisions. We also arranged a Tesco online grocery delivery; we were initially a bit concerned about delivery to such a rural spot, but the driver reassured us it’s never an issue. If you prefer a larger supermarket to visit in person, Berwick is the nearest option.Coming from a town with plenty of traffic noise, this was a proper getaway for us—we absolutely loved the peace and silence.The cottage is beautifully furnished and fully equipped; you really don’t need to bring anything extra with you as everything has been thought of. It also has a lovely, cosy feel that makes it wonderful to return to each evening after a day out.Helen provided the most comprehensive visitor information folder, which was incredibly helpful. She even included two Northumberland parking discs—essential for certain local car parks and a thoughtful touch you wouldn't think of otherwise!The hot tub was an absolute treat, and we were very lucky to have great weather all week. The cows in the field adjacent to the cottage provided great entertainment, coming right up to the gate on some days.I would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage to anyone!
