Two spacious bedrooms complete the bungalow so you can enjoy a good night's rest before the next day's adventures! Adjoining the accommodation, is a massive games room with table tennis and a full-size pool table perfect for keeping the children happy and a tennis court is there for you to enjoy a set or two in the fresh countryside air. Your dog is welcome at this cottage and can be accommodated inside or outside in an insulated kennel. Outside a large field gives ample room for children and your pet to play or why not just relax and soak up the tranquil country atmosphere of the beautiful Scottish Borders? With Duns four miles away and the spectacular Berwickshire coast just fifteen miles to the east for stunning coastal walks and lovely beaches, this cottage is ideal for outdoor pursuits. There are lots of walking and cycling paths in the area, and with local stables available, excellent riding too. The border county of Northumberland is less than a half hour’s drive, with the historic city of Edinburgh just forty miles away, easily accessible by train or car. This comfortable cottage has something for everyone and is an ideal base for tranquil holidays or short breaks whatever the time of year. EPC Rating: Band D

The small border town of Duns is set in a wide valley known as The Merse and was once the capital of the Scottish Borders, when the current capital, Berwick-upon-Tweed, was under English rule. The town offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants, whilst the Jim Clark Museum is open to the public in honour of the famous racing driver who lived in the area.

    But is also a great place to return to, we would prepare dinner and play pool whilst waiting. Our Dog just loved the paddock area for the 1st thing run before car journeys and then once we returned in the evening. We are looking to return again! X x
