Groom's Cottage in the Scottish Borders offers a tranquil and picturesque setting for a relaxing holiday. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, comfortable amenities, and the warm welcome provided by the hosts. The property's location is ideal for exploring local villages, scenic walks, and the coastline. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, with several positive comments about its tidiness. However, there were isolated mentions of a dirty oven and cobwebs, which slightly impacted the score.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to local attractions, and accessibility to both the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. It is described as an ideal base for exploring the area.

Guests describe the cottage as cosy, warm, and comfortable, with a few noting the firmness of the beds and one comment about inadequate heating. Overall, the comfort level is well-regarded.

Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of two bathrooms. However, there are comments about weak Wi-Fi, hot water pressure issues, and a need for better maintenance of outdoor areas and appliances.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches such as welcome packs with cakes and tea. While these gestures are appreciated, it is important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Very comfortable, well equipped, warm and clean, the welcome package was a nice touch too, thank you Have to be careful cooking in the oven as it would burn things on one side. But turning the food regularly helps with this.
