Guests say

Old Mill Cottage receives high praise for its immaculate cleanliness, cosy and spacious interiors, and excellent location for exploring the scenic Perthshire countryside. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, thoughtful touches, and proximity to local amenities and attractions. The nearby railway line is frequently mentioned but is generally not considered a major disturbance. The cottage is described as comfortable, homely, and ideal for both relaxation and adventure, with many guests eager to return.

Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with multiple guests describing the cottage as spotless, immaculate, and exceptionally well-prepared. Only one review noted minor wear in the kitchen and bathroom, but this did not detract from the overall impression.

The location is highly rated for its convenience to local shops, attractions, and transport links, as well as its beautiful surroundings. The proximity to the railway is noted, but most guests found it added character or was not a significant issue.

Guests frequently mention the cottage's comfort, with cosy lounges, comfortable beds, and effective heating. A few noted the low ceiling in the main bedroom and occasional train noise, but overall comfort remains a strong point.

Facilities are praised for being comprehensive and well-maintained, including a well-equipped kitchen, secure bike storage, and outdoor space. Minor suggestions include more outdoor furniture and additional lighting in the lounge.

Many guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as welcome packs and helpful communication from the host. However, as gifts like welcome baskets are not guaranteed, future guests should not expect them as standard.

Very nice cottage the interior looks modern and comfortable. The welcome basket was very basic ,coffee and tea sachets out of date over a year ! The rooms are very dark more lamps are needed in the sitting room. The worse thing about this cottage are the trains passing at 6.30 in the morning, the whole house shakes ear plugs would not make any difference! That is the reason I would not recommend this cottage to my friends and family.

We had a very enjoyable weeķ in Old Mill Cottage. This was our third visit, and we look forward to hopefully returning next year. The house was clean and comfortable, the area is very relaxing, with plenty of facilities to offer visitors, and the surrounding scenery is outstanding. There are good cafes, restaurants and bars, lots of places to visit and some lovely walks nearby. The railway station is another attraction. In spite of being in the centre of the village, the cottage has a very private feel. The living room is stylish and comfortable, with a good t v and an electric fire for instant warmth. The central heating is efficient and easy to control. The bedrooms are nicely decorated with comfy beds and plenty of storage space. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there is hot water available constantly, but we did notice a few little things in the kitchen and bathroom this time that were a little worse for wear, e. g. the door which is the main entrance to the building, and the bath panel, but this did not spoil our stay in any way and we left wishing we could have stayed longer.
