Step straight out from the doorstep to explore the vibrant hub that is one of Scotland's oldest Royal Burghs and is known as the gateway to the beautiful Ettrick and Yarrow Valleys. Wander the shops, stock up on local produce and ponder in a friendly pub serving a range of Scottish whiskies. Take time out to wander the magnificent Haining, just 300 metres from the apartment, with its landscaped grounds and lochside parkland. Venture 12 miles to Dryburgh to walk beside the River Tweed and stroll to the William Wallace Statue to take in the far-reaching views. Scott’s View, also 12 miles away, is another fabulous spot for enjoying the sweeping vistas of the Scottish and English borderlands.

Make your way up to the apartment and head straight through to the cheery kitchen to deposit your shopping. Make a cup of hot tea to enjoy with a piece of tasty shortbread and then choose whether to unwind in the window seat in here for a spell. The kitchen also encompasses all the equipment you will need to help you cater for yourselves during your stay. Dine at the round table in the evening before heading through to the lounge to enjoy each other’s company from the comfort of the soft seating. Watch TV, play a DVD or listen to music. When you are ready to head off to bed, the double bedroom on this floor awaits. The family shower room is also at this level. Climb the stairs to the single bedroom, which nestles in the attic space and has some restricted headroom.

There is no outside space with this apartment, but guests are just 300 metres from the Haining with its beautiful parkland. Parking is on the street in Market Place, 100 metres away, subject to availability.
