The garden houses a firepit, barbecue and furniture making it ideal for an alfresco affair. Stanley is a lovely Scottish village originally built for the workers of Stanley Mill in the 1700s, where there is a handful of pubs, so why not head out for lunch and enjoy a hearty meal and a glass of your favourite beverage in the sunshine? There is also a village store, pharmacy and butchers where you can stock up on essentials before taking to the scenic trails beside the River Tay, or you can head a little further to visit the Hermitage and surrounding trails or Tay Forest Park. The Village is ideal for cycling enthusiasts, located on the National Cycling Network, and is on the road to Glenshee Ski Centre, great for an action-packed afternoon, as well as several local golf courses. From here you can check out the local artwork at Birnam Arts or riverside walks beside the historic sites of Murthly Castle and Birnam Oak or try out local produce at Stewart Towers Ice Cream Farm. Further from the property is the riverside city of Perth where there are a great many eateries, convenience stores and pubs, as well as Huntingtower Castle, Scone Palace where several festivals are held, a golf course, art gallery and museum where you can find out more about the local area. There may also be the option to enjoy live music events around Dunkeld and Perth. Make a couples retreat with stunning scenery with a stay at The Hive.

The small community of Stanley, which is situated in the midst of Scotland, next to the River Tay. Stanley dates back to the 1700s when it was constructed to house the Stanley Mills' employees. There are several shops and a restaurant in the village. The river is nearby, and there are excellent canoeing and fishing facilities. The historic Stanley Mills, which was recently rebuilt, is located on the outskirts of the hamlet and relates the tale of the mills and the people who worked there. Excellent family adventure park is available. More well-known are the Birnam Oak, also known as Macbeth's Oak, and the Birnam Sycamore, which are thought to be the only surviving members of the vast forest that formerly covered the hillsides and banks of the River Tay. Perth offers a wide variety of good restaurants, cafés, parks, and stores to visit, is located in Scotland not far from Stanley. This magnificent city is the recipient of numerous honours and prizes, including as the Scottish Tourist City of the Year award and the Beautiful Scotland in Bloom award. Perth is also close to the Palace of Scone, which is well worth a visit. The enormous collection of uncommon and exotic plants can be found in the Branklyn gardens, which are open from April to October.
