We had an absolutely brilliant time at Dalvanie Mill, even if it was just for four days! Bob saved our holiday by getting the cottage ready in a few hours when our original cottage cancelled on the day we were due to arrive! The location was stunning; tranquil , isolated and surrounded by nature. Walks into the surrounding hills will take you to lochs and woodlands. Or sit outside and watch the birds visit the feeders (including a woodpecker!)You are a good 30mins from nearest shops and the cottage is basic in terms of appliances etc. But, if you want to feel like you’re really in the Scottish wilderness then a cottage like this, which makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, is absolutely perfect. Antique furniture, wood burning fires, your own chickens that will lay you eggs each day? Brilliant. And it does have a jacuzzi! We’ll certainly be back, next time for a full Holiday 😊😊

We had the best time staying at Dalvanie Mill. Bob is an excellent, knowledgeable host and we had great days out based on his guidance (Lochs, rivers and mountains!). So much to do in the Glen if you like outdoor adventures, wild swimming, cycling, hiking, deer spotting and wildlife galore. A truly lovely place to spend a holiday and already has us looking forward to our next visit. Family of 5 and a dog all thoroughly thankful for our week away 😁
