At one end, the king-size bed sits on a raised platform, while at the other, the woodburning stove anchors the sitting area, becoming a natural focal point as evening falls.

Between the two, the kitchen is arranged for preparing meals while keeping the loch in constant view, and the dining area invites time spent watching the shifting light across the water. Underfloor heating runs throughout, and the bathroom offers both a walk-in shower and a bath positioned to make the most of the outlook. Outside, the decking extends over the water’s edge, providing a place to sit with the loch stretching out in front of you. The hot tub is positioned to take in the setting, offering a different perspective on the landscape throughout the day. The gentle movement of the water beneath and the ever-changing skyline create a setting that feels entirely shaped by its surroundings.

Venture into Killin for village life, riverside walks and time by the Falls of Dochart, where the water rushes through the centre of the village. Follow the shoreline towards Kenmore, visible from the property, and take in the long sweep of Loch Tay as it winds through the countryside. Look across towards Glen Lyon, where deeper layers of hills add to the view. Guests can also enjoy trout fishing, making the most of the loch during their stay. The village of Killin, on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, in the area of Breadalbane, sits across the stunning Falls of Dochart and has been settled since ancient times. Cup markings on rocks and stone circles tell of an ancient race that inhabited this area. Christianity came to Breadalbane in the 8th century with St Fillan with the Mill bearing his name and St Fillan’s Day held on the 3rd Tuesday in January. The village is strongly associated with two renowned clans, Clan Campbell and Clan MacNab. Finlarig Castle, to the north of the village, was the Campbell stronghold and the MacNabs have their ancient burial ground of Inchbuie near the bridge over the falls. Killin today is a popular tourist destination, due in no small part to the use of the falls in various films and television programmes. The village today has a varied selection of shops, bars and restaurants and watersports are available on nearby Loch Tay. Ideal for walking, Killin has Ben Lawers, the highest of the surrounding Bens, to the north and Ben More and Stobinian to the west.
