The Bothy in Aberfeldy offers stunning views and a tranquil setting, ideal for those seeking a remote getaway. Guests appreciate the well-equipped cottage and its beautiful location, though some maintenance issues have been noted.
The property received negative remarks regarding cleanliness, including an unpleasant smell and a lack of fresh towels, suggesting room for improvement in this area.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views and quiet, remote setting, making it an ideal retreat for guests looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
The property is generally considered comfortable with home comforts and a well-designed layout, though some issues with a toilet bolt and a loose toilet seat were mentioned.
Facilities are well-regarded, especially the heating control and storm torches. However, dated TV/audio equipment and unresolved maintenance issues, such as a non-locking balcony door, affect the score.
While guests mentioned the usefulness of storm torches during a power cut, there were no specific references to gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the host, and thus the score is set to null.

It was very much a special location and layout. Parking fine.Welcome was sad. The fridge was switched off, not cleaning had an awful smell. The freezer was just full of ice, melting and flooding the floor. Small bedroom toilet seat loose and dangerous. Towels an odd assortment and not very fresh.Upstairs the door to patio didn't lock. Toilet bolt seized and trapped elderly person in. Had to find toos to open it.Lampbroken in main bedroom. Just all could have spoilt holiday.A welcome pack would have been helpful as travelled from south of England up to there. Certainly not worth the money we paid.Having said that we loved the place and area. Stunning views from doors so didn't let the wrong things stop us enjoying our time. It would be a good idea for you to bring these faults to the owner.

After a protracted house sale and move this was the perfect break for us. Beautiful and ever changing views, stillness, and yet all the home comforts. The house was well designed, clean, and the essentials were well equipped (we loved the Hive heating control so much we have ordered one for ourselves) with the exception of the the tv/audio equipment which was dated relative to comparable properties we have visited. The balcony door would not lock and from the handwritten visitor comments this seemed to have been a longstanding and unattended issue. On the other hand, the rechargeable storm torches were a life saver for us when Storm Amy and the power cuts hit us - thanks so much! Recommended, lovely place.
