Just spent a week in this lovely cottage. It's in a gorgeous position, up a hill nestled into the hillside of trees, overlooking Castle Menzies and the countryside, out to the river Tay and the hills beyond. It's an absolutely stunning location, and especially in autumn. There was an abundance of birds and you could hear owls and deer at night and early morning. Brilliant dark skies for star watchers. The cottage was warm and well equipped, and the bed was so comfortable. My dog loved all the walks on doorstep, it's just stunning. The owner is on hand and helped us out during storm Amy during a power cut with logs for the fire and candles. It was so cosy with the log fire on an evening. We loved it so much we are already looking to book again for next year.

We had a super time at Garden Cottage. The views were superb. The cottage itself was spacious and well equipt. There was even a bird feeding station set up in front of the kitchen window and so we put out food and we're delighted with the amount of different birds that visited us. The highlight for me was one morning we had a visit from a red squirrel to the feeder. To see one so close was magical. We found quite a lot of places to visit in the area including Castle Menzies which is well worth a visit.
