Located on Scotland’s West Coast the properties are ideally situated to explore the beauty of the Ayrshire coastline, with villages, beaches and rocky coves to explore. It is an ideal location for cyclists and walkers with Skelmorlie heralding the start of the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal walk. Inland there is walking, cycling, gardens and castles to visit along with the opportunity to ride, fish, and golf (the world famous Turnberry course is nearby). Culzean Castle Country Park, extending for over 550-acres has a network of wooded trails passing along the beach.
Explore the islands of Cumbrae, Arran and the Isle of Bute or catch a ferry to Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula, which gives you great access to the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily reached for a day trip with plenty of activities. Beach 7½ miles. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

I think location wise is not great next to a busy road where you can hear traffic all day long. It has been mentioned by another reviewer but being a last minute booking I missed it at time of booking. Also you can view the large auction rooms and car park from the property which ruins the countryside experience. The upstairs bathroom door was creaky. There was a filter missing on kitchen hood and there is a limited availability of kitchen utensils. Pot lid handles were all broken. Front door didn’t lock. Moths on ceiling in ground floor bedroom so was rejected by boys. Double glazing is blown on many windows. The conservatory was not used and the blind fell in it. No bin bags provided. Although there is a big screen tv in most rooms but in back rooms WiFi doesn’t reach so limited as to what can be watched. It’s not a detached property. Otherwise the cottage is tastefully decorated.

We had a great few days staying here, the house is well equipped and cosy, plenty of space, hot tub was brilliant, man who greeted us was welcoming and friendly, and when we had a slight issue it was resolved very quickly, only suggestion would maybe a sign outside property as we drove past initially, would definitely stay again and recommend to other
