This is a real find, which is why its hard to get a booking! The location right on the beach is the standout feature for us.

South Croft Lodge has the most splendid location, the views are sensational. You have the most perfect base for either an active holiday or a peaceful, chilled rest. The house is a great size, our party was 5 adults and a dog. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, maybe not Christmas or a celebration dinner. Also the kitchen cupboards were left with out of date food from previous guests 😬 There are no drying facilities apart from the airer, so if your towels are wet from a weeks use, you cant dry them even if you try, we are a family of 4 girls so when we asked for extra towels, we were made to feel like it was an awkward request. So if you try and dry clothes too, your pretty much scuppered. The well stocked games cupboard consists of half packs of playing cards, broken dolls and a few kids games. The TV is the living room is tiny, the bracket makes it so only people on one sofa can watch. The beds in the twin are really kids beds, the springs were poking through, the caretaker did provide sponge to cover them and it did make a big difference to my sister and niece's sleep. Ive used cottages.com for well over a decade and ive always rated their description and been over the moon with where we have stayed, I just feel they have rated South Croft Lodge as "luxury" and it really isn't

Very comfortable cottage in a brilliant location. This was our second visit and we will most definitely be back. Watching the sunrise with a morning coffee was blissful.
