Gowanhill is praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and beautiful garden with wildlife. The location is ideal for family holidays, with proximity to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped house, though some minor maintenance issues and challenges with the letting team are noted.
Guests consistently describe the property as spotlessly clean, very clean, and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness.
The property's location is highly regarded for its lovely views, proximity to the beach, and a good selection at the local shop, making it an excellent base for a holiday.
The reviews highlight the property's comfort, mentioning its spaciousness, lovely garden, and cosy features like the log burner. However, one mention of the house being slow to warm up slightly lowers the score.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a superb garden, BBQ, and games room. However, some minor damaged items, unpredictable hot water, and an issue with the oven switch indicate room for improvement.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to score this category.

Gowanhill is a lovely, comfortable, spacious, beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean home. The very large garden is superb with lots of different areas including beautiful mature trees and lovely views. We thoroughly enjoyed playing in the garden and watching the squirrels and a great variety of birds. We had a most enjoyable and happy holiday based in Gowanhill.

Great family holiday in this lovely cottage. Super garden for our grandaughter (and dog) to run around in, and only a few minutes down to the beach.
