Craigard Cottage in Brodick is widely praised for its cosy atmosphere, excellent location for exploring Arran, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, privacy, and proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. Many found the cottage comfortable and enjoyed the garden wildlife. Some feedback suggests improvements to soft furnishings, maintenance, and clearer directions. Overall, guests have had enjoyable stays and several have returned or plan to return.

Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as very clean and well-kept, though a few mention the need for deep cleaning of carpets and replacement of tired furnishings.

The location is frequently described as perfect, central, quiet, and ideal for walks and exploring the island, with easy access to local pubs and the sea.

Guests generally find the cottage cosy and comfortable, but some note issues with worn sofas, flat pillows, and low ceilings upstairs, which may be challenging for taller guests.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and has ample parking. However, some guests mention chipped crockery, damaged pans, and maintenance needs such as blinds, mattresses, and a back door lock.

A few guests mention that small welcoming touches like milk or local produce would be appreciated, but these are not currently provided and cannot be guaranteed.

A great cottage to stay at on Arran, Arran is a place with lots to do and see if you like the outdoors. With long and short walks in the hills.

Comfort a it’s best. Very private. Central for most locations round island. The cottage suits al needs and wants. Ample parking.Only problem as I see access into and out of property, partially blind to see other traffic. As with most cottages don’t walk tall

We have visited Craigard Cottage for several years now, and have enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is very well appointed, with most of the things you’d require for self catering.Lovely and spacious for 4 people. The location is wonderful: quiet secluded garden and the Corrie Hotel is very close by for drinks and dinner. Walk down the drive and you’re at the sea.Brodick beach, and amenities are just a short drive away. However some money is required to be spent on some fixtures and fittings:The sofas were a bit tired and weary the last couple of times we visited, but they’re definitely on their last legs now. They are also shabby and dirty looking. Mattresses and bedding need replacing, pillows complete flat. Some blinds need repairs or completely replaced.Carpeting needs a deep clean. It’s a real shame, because we’d love to return, but not until the above is sorted. Consequently we’ve not booked again for next year.
