Cairnsaigh is a delightful self-catering property situated in the idyllic village of Whiting Bay. The property is well maintained and offers spacious and very comfortable living areas. The living room looks out towards the sea and has French doors through to a spacious kitchen/dining room. This gives you the option to close off the living room for a cosier atmosphere yet still allows the light through, or you can open them up to enjoy an extended living space. Patio doors open out from the kitchen/dining room to the rear patio which is a sun trap through the day and red squirrels frequently visit and play on the patio grazing on nuts in the squirrel feeder. The proximity to the beach allows guests to walk across the road from the property where picnics can be enjoyed on the beach with fabulous views of Holy Isle, or look out for pods of dolphins and porpoises which can be spotted - on occasion they’ve also been seen from the living room window on calm days. It’s just ½ mile from the Sandbraes area of Whiting Bay which has a great kids play park and direct access to the beach. Keen walkers can enjoy a forest walk to the fabulous Glenashdale Falls accessed beside the house. Beyond the falls lie a network of many miles of great walks over hills and through forests along forest tracks. It is within walking distance of all the amenities in Whiting Bay, which include a bar, restaurants, coffee shop, post office, newsagents and bowling green. There is also an 18-hole golf course.
