About this property

Forres 2.6 miles. If you're looking for a rustic Moray retreat, look no further than this beautiful lodge, which can accommodate up to five people. After parking behind the lodges, walk up the shallow steps onto the decking to the first lodge closest to the farmhouse, take off your shoes as you step onto the oak flooring inside, and you'll be greeted by a pleasant open-plan studio with a bed in the main room and a living area with separate bedroom as you walk through the connecting door. Both sides of the kitchenettes have an excellent array of gadgets, including a microwave/oven combo, with which to conjure up quick meals. When dinner is ready, sit down at the table inside and enjoy the views through the huge south-facing windows, or dine on the terrace during the warmer months. The living spaces, with their large sofas and pillows, are ideal for unwinding with a glass of wine while catching up on the day's events or simply reading a nice book. Snuggle up in one of the twin beds at the end of the day, or request that they be zipped together to become a king bed in advance! The sofa in the separate bedroom may also be used as a single bed, making it suitable for an additional child or visitor. During the short summer nights, blackout curtains will help you unwind. Two magnificent wet rooms with walk-in showers complete the property's interior, allowing you to enjoy revitalising hot showers while your towel warms up on the adjoining rail. On-site, you may buy freshly grown organic food and home-made gourmet ready-meals. Alternatively, pique your interest and reserve a spot to try your hand at basket weaving or spend a fun, engaging morning on the farm learning about birds and wildlife. Purchase tickets to join others for a catered Pop-Up supper, a Mama Circle morning, or a craft and food fair on the farm. Joining the Dava Way, which goes from Forres to Grantown-on-Spey and will also take you the short distance to Dallas Dhu distillery, one of the stations to visit for a tour and a taste along the famous Malt Whisky trail, will provide you access to an extensive network of local pathways. Spend the day on the beach with your family in Findhorn, Hopeman, or Roseisle, or any of the other peaceful sandy beaches around the Moray coast. The lovely seaside village of Findhorn, with its natural marina, taverns, and award-winning slow food café, is a great place to start or end your day. Visit the Findhorn Foundation Eco-village, which has an intriguing history, a variety of fascinating structures, and a full food store. Discover the magnificent River Findhorn at Randoph's Leap or immerse yourself in local woodlands surrounded by majestic oaks and pines. Other area attractions include superb fishing and golfing, all-ability mountain bike paths, peaceful roads for cycling, boat tours, dolphin viewing, wild swimming, and water sports. A visit at Birch allows you to discover Scotland like never before, with easy access to the Highlands, Speyside, and the stunning Cairngorm National Park. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1085994, 1098003 and 1088672, together sleeping up to 12 guests.
