Warm, cosy and welcoming. It was my birthday when I was there, and the owner, Lindsay, left a cake with a candle and a lovely card for me! Very thoughtful and kind. We met due to a minor mishap which she swiftly dealt with and couldn't have been more charming or friendly. The beds were so comfortable, we didn't want to get up, and I will definitely be buying a duck down duvet for ourselves now...SO warm and snuggly! Bogmoor is not far from everywhere you might want to visit...coast or town, but feels as if it's in the middle of nowhere...so quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in the northeast of Scotland. You won't regret it.

The village itself is so quiet and peaceful, with just a distant roar of the ocean and the occasional crow breaking the silence. Central to some fantastic small seaside villages and coves as well as the dolphin spotting and northern lights from the local beach. I should also mention the generous host with some extra wee touches that shows she has great pride in Lilys ......and so she should.
