Shelterstone is a charming traditional stone cottage with walking access directly down to the sea. Originally two fisherman’s cottages, which have now been combined, Shelterstone has been sympathetically renovated and restored by the current owner. It offers spacious and modern accommodation whilst retaining many of its lovely and unusual original features. The main living area is simply stunning. Divided by a massive stone chimney breast housing a large wood burning stove, the lounge/dining room has beautiful redwood floors and ceiling and deep silled windows that drink in amazing views out to sea. Outside is a pretty stone terrace/BBQ area leading onto a large lawned garden. There is access down to the coastal path and bay below. Three good sized bedrooms (one en-suite) makes this an ideal venue for a family holiday. This is wonderful cycling and walking country, with miles of coastal footpaths, woodland walks and trails right on the doorstep.

Four of us (two couples in our 60's and 80's) and a dog had a very comfortable week in the cottage. It is well equipped, very comfortable, roomy and quiet. Just perfect for a week by the seaside with plenty of opportunities for walking and places to visit. We would thoroughly recommend it.

If you have a stressful job,or need quietness and relaxation then this is the place you need. A beautiful cottage with everything you need, comfort in the lounge and the bed. I cannot rate this high enough, lovely garden to sit in and look over the forth, lovely lonely beach walk into Losemouth, along with clifftop walk to Hopeman. Switch off the phones and enjoy the total silence this cottage gives. Sorry to leave this cottage and we'll be back.
