The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating a high standard.

The property is well-equipped with a new cooking range and other amenities. One minor suggestion for better bathroom lighting indicates room for improvement.

While guests have mentioned welcome treats and the hosts' attentiveness, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures, and they should not be expected on every visit.

Step inside the front door with its original stained glass panel into the light and airy living room with its patio doors opening onto the uninterrupted vista of the sea beyond the sitting out area and decking with hot tub. What a room to sit and soak up the stunning, ever changing sea level view, and watching the wildlife drift past, from bottlenose dolphins and grey seals to the myriad of birdlife. Enjoy a convivial drink or relax in the private hot tub under the stars. The conservatory also has a double bed, and again, this is a marvellous room to watch the sun rise over the sea in the early summer mornings. The well fitted kitchen/dining room has an Aga and lots of character, while the other bedroom on the ground floor has wonderful views over the seascape. A loft ladder takes you up to a low ceilinged bedroom, accessed from the hallway.

The cottage is just a short walk from the town’s amenities including shops, restaurants, swimming pool and fitness centre; while further along the coast, pretty fishing villages are set against dramatic rocky outcrops or stunning golden sands. Other activities locally include fishing, sailing and diving. Whisky and castle trails are on the doorstep and a boat trip to see the dolphins and seals is a must. Wonderful clifftop walks studded with caves from Findochty to Portknockie and Cullen are almost on the doorstep and there are some very good golf courses within a very short drive of the town, including Buckpool on the west and Strathlene to the east. View the stunning Bow Fiddle Rock near the village of Portknockie or stroll along some of the amazing beaches which make up this glorious coastline. Plenty of other wildlife can be observed at the mouth of Spey Bay, just a few miles west, including otters and ospreys and a stretch of the Speyside Way (a long distance footpath) runs from here to Buckie, providing good walking opportunities either way. Lovely cottage in a great location. Very clean and the kitchen has everything you could need! House very cosy. Outside is a large safe space for the dogs. Only thing needed is a better light in the bathroom.!
