Dating back to 1794 the house is as magnificent today as the day it was built. Set-in well-maintained grounds, with a front lawn with views to the Moray firth and surrounded by peaceful policy woodland, the house takes centre stage and is a stunning retreat. The house and cottage are let for your exclusive use and the accommodation includes entrance and reception hall. Beyond this are the wonderful Library Drawing room; Sitting room which may also be used as a conference room; Dining room for 38, Cinema for 7; Snug sitting room, Snooker room; Nursery twin Bed room and fully functional kitchen with Aga and range cooker. The first and second floors have extensive bedroom accommodation including the Magnus suite of Super king size bedroom adjoining sitting room and spacious ensuite bathroom.

Arrangements for the provision of catering can be made and there is a separate function facility for up to 60 guests in a converted Barn/Coach house (additional costs apply). The house is easily accessible from anywhere in the UK, with Inverness airport only 30 minutes away, this is a gorgeous holiday house which will last long in the memory.

Reception Rooms

The large sitting room is an elegant room, with comfortable seating and grand piano if required this room may be used for small dining parties of up to 8. The Library Drawing room overlooks the front garden and is a peaceful room for family get togethers, a snug sitting room is located to the rear of the house which is ideal for children to find their own space. Needless to say, the snooker room is always a popular feature of the house

Kitchen & Dining

The front facing dining room has character and atmosphere in abundance, with semi wood panelling and fine furniture. The elegant dining table has seating for 14 and with extra tables the room comfortably accommodates 38. The kitchen is spacious and perfectly set up for catering for large groups. There is an Aga, range cooker, ample fridge and freezer space together with 2 dishwashers. (For those with extra catering requirements a caterer can be arranged on request to the owner). Not to be forgotten is the BBQ hut in the grounds for excellent al fresco dining

The local area

There are many opportunities for country and water pursuits. Close to Golf Courses, Tain, Royal Dornoch, Golspie, Brora to name a few. Distillery Tours, Glenmorangie, Balblair , Dalmore and Clynelish, all within reach of Pitcalzean House. There are Dolphin Cruises (Eco Ventures, Cromarty) (Passenger and Car Ferry run daily to Cromarty from June to September) You can also drive to Chanonry point to view the Dolphins if boating is not for you.

Walking around the area is popular, many routes can be found on https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk We can organise Bike Hire to Pitcalzean House, there are many Cycle routes around the area which allow the scenery and wildlife to be fully appreciated and if retail relief is required then it is only a short drive to Inverness. Scotland’s historic culture can be explored at Dunrobbin Castle and many other smaller castles in the area. A day out on the trail of Whisky should not be forgotten with a choice of visiting the local distilleries at Glenmorangie, Dalmore and Balblair..
