Guests that stayed at this property said

The chalet receives consistent commendation for its cleanliness, with guests noting it as 'very clean' and 'immaculate', contributing to a homely and welcoming atmosphere.

The chalet's location is celebrated for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests noted difficulty in finding the property, slightly impacting the score.

The chalet is well-equipped according to guests, but there are isolated comments about it being 'rather tired' and in need of an upgrade. The lack of WiFi is also noted as a minor inconvenience.

While many reviews express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures such as wine, chocolates, and flowers, there is no guarantee that these gifts are provided with every stay, and not all reviews mention them.

About this property

A detached single-storey timber chalet in an elevated position overlooking the spa village of Strathpeffer. Private veranda with views, superb alternative to the usual Scotland cottages. Note: This cottage is next to Ref. 3557 and together they accommodate 10. EPC Rating: Band D

Strathpeffer is a lovely little spa town 20 miles from Inverness and only four and a half miles from Dingwall. The town grew up after the spring waters were discovered in the 1700s. In 1819 the waters were pronounced to be the healthiest in Britain and visitors to the town can still sample their delights in the old pump house. There are numerous walks around the area and the mountains of Glen Affric and the North West Highlands are close by. There is also good fishing to be enjoyed on lochs or rivers. The old Victorian Railway Station in Strathpeffer now serves as the Highland Museum of Childhood and no doubt will spark many memories. It is also home to local craft workers and shops selling their wares. A great base for exploring this lovely region.

Lovely scenery all around the area Strathpeffer just down the road which if you are walking will take you about a hour to get too but a bit longer coming back as up a hill. Family very friendly and helpful. Nice walks for the dog and he enjoyed this very much. Ullapool is a hour away and the other direction Dornoch is the same. Inverness is 20 mins and Dingwall 10 mins. Would recommend this Chalet as family totally enjoyed the week.

The place has everything we need (the dishwasher and washing machine are much appreciated!). Easy to find if you follow Google Maps. It’s a good base to explore the Highlands and it’s conveniently close to Dingwall for shops, EV charging point, etc. We had a chinese takeaway from the nearby Liking restaurant and it was amazing. Highly recommend this place. :)
