The cottage is stunning in a beautiful location and everything has been thought about to make your stay comfortable and welcoming.Owners are very friendly and on hand if there is anything you need or just to provide local knowledge.Do bear in mind that everything is quite a drive away, even shops, but it is well worth it and a fantastic base to explore Scotland!

First things first, the drive up to the Highlands is spectacular in itself.Upon arrival at the Kestrel Lodge, the appearance of the place is impressive, the interior is finished to a high standard and the log burner sets the ambience.Mackie offered a load of helpful advice and was very friendly and approachable to us and our big lad Gary (the Labrador).We used the Lodge as a base camp to explore the lochs and beaches of the area, which was very convenient.Other days we would just chill out and enjoy the hot tub with the Red Kites and other wildlife flying/roaming around us, amazing. Overall we loved our time at Kestrel Lodge and would love to return again in the not so distant future!
