The coastal village of Staffin is located in the northern part of the Isle of Skye. With two restaurants, two stores, a part-time running Post Office, the Staffin Slipway for sailing enthusiasts, the only sandy beach in the north of Skye, and numerous walks along the shore or inland, this calm community overlooks Staffin Bay and Staffin Island. The major town on Skye, Portree, lies 17 miles down the coast, and from there, the entire island may be easily explored.
