We had a lovely, relaxing stay at The Bay. The cottage was modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The views from the cottage were stunning! The cottage is in a peaceful location, around 20 minutes drive from Portree. The road to Portree itself (A855) could be quite chaotic though, as it is mainly single track and there was often a lot of traffic heading to and from the Old Man of Storr. We ended up in a few jams with several clusters of camper vans heading in both directions and blocking up a number of passing places. It is fine as long as you are not in a hurry to get anywhere. If you want to visit the Old Man of Storr, I recommend either walking from the cottage or going early if you are taking a car as the car park fills up quickly.
