Uig 1.5 miles. This lovely upper floor self-contained apartment is situated above the owner's home, with it's own separate entrance. Close to the village of Uig, on the Isle of Skye and also the CalMac ferry to the Outer Hebrides.. With a garden to the front that borders the seashore, this welcoming apartment provides cosy, well-equipped accommodation that's ideal for a family or group of friends who will just love the convenience and views on offer here. Watch the fishing boats and ferry sail past the front of the garden and keep an eye out for the otter which is seen fairly regularly.
You enter into a ground floor hall with stairs leading to the spacious first floor accommodation. There are three generously proportioned bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and the open plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen where meals can be prepared and enjoyed together around the large table. This room also has a small seating area and a clever window design that can be opened up on warm days to form a small balcony from which the fresh sea air can flood in. Uig is a pretty friendly village with good local services and from here guests can explore on foot or take the car up the hill and around the famous 'hairpin bend' continuing on a tour of the Trotternish Peninsula with its rugged coastline and amazing wildlife.
The island is deceptively large with a big coastline and there are lots of villages, castles and coves to be explored. At the end of a busy day why not take advantage of the lovely garden with its strategically placed seating areas looking right out to sea? A delightful apartment to call home with so much to see and do within this part of the island. This property is near to Ref 12666, together they sleep 12.

Besides the unnecessary yelling at us before we had even said hello, we had a nice stay, Comfortable living space on the coast. Being close to the camping site initially concerned me but didn't cause any issues at all. Wifi connectivity was almost non existent. If you need good connectivity or would be bothered by a volatile host (his outbursts have been confirmed in reviews across several booking platforms and make for quite entertaining reading), I suggest looking elsewhere.

Hosts were great and very amenable - they even left us with some delicious home baking! Would very much recommend this as a place to stay in Skye!

A nice bonus was a lemon cake to have with our tea when we first rolled in. We had a lovely time and will be singing the praises to everyone.
